In the auto industry, you’re known even more by the people you hire, especially when one of those people is Fred Diaz, Ram Truck brand president and CEO until just a few days ago.Nissan, who flirted with Chrysler over truck development in the past, has put Diaz in the newly created position of divisional VP of sales and marketing for the US. He will also be responsible for Nissan’s growing light commercial lineup.When Nissan was looking for a partner on full-size pickups, Diaz was instrumental in those talks, representing the Auburn Hills automaker.
